Hello Guys

I waana congratulate you for the fantastic work and for the super idea because Freebsd was in need of a package manager like the one from archbsd, even rpm based Freebsd was a great idea smile.
Anyway , I do have one server on digitalocean and beeing one of the early suscribers on my account I have unlimited bandwith usage, I could place a mirror on it, for isos or something (I will try anyway to setup a rsync of the iso in the upcoming days).

1. I searched for a tutorial or at list with a basic recipe so I could begin some package building (when I will have time ),
2. I am a moderate knowledge python programmer, at least for my sysadmin daily tasks, data gathering,/django so if I could help here, just try to assign some tasks.
3. I have a strong background in rpm based linux distros and linux in general, and a couple of years ago I started using Freebsd so I am not a stranger.

Anyway, if you need some manpower and some help, just leave a line here with what I could do as the time permits it.

Re: Hello Guys

would be great to see you on irc smile
There are some pages on the wiki to help with making pkgbuilds etc, but not all of the information's out there yet so IRC makes it easier.

As you can see here: https://wiki.archbsd.net/index.php/Special:AllPages there aren't too many pages around yet. OTOH they often point to the ArchWiki and FreeBSD handbook, as those two sources pretty much cover most things. So the wiki just outlines the differences.

Re: Hello Guys

Hi Blµb,

I have set a mirror for ftp.archbsd.net/iso on http://mirrors.pcdeal.ro/ftp.archbsd.net/ and added a cron job in order to keep it up to date. I will sync more content. but for now the isos seemd important. I hope this helps. I hope my time will allow me to enter on irc or at least I will start with a development machine in order to help on package building for now.
