read-only filesystem virtualbox

Hello all,
I booted up the 12072013 iso in virtualbox. when i got to the "dhclient device" part of "INSTALL BASE" i receive

"Cannot open or create pidfile: Read-only file system "

Could somebody indicate how to avoid this?

Many thanks.

Re: read-only filesystem virtualbox

I can't recreate this issue. dhclient is working fine here on the latest iso. Can you confirm that /etc/fstab has entries to mount /var as read / write

It should be this on the iso.

/dev/iso9660/ArchBSD / cd9660 ro 0 0
tmpfs /tmp tmpfs rw,mode=777 0 0
md /rw_etc mfs rw,-s5M,noatime 0 0
md /rw_var mfs rw,-s5M,noatime 0 0
/rw_etc /etc unionfs rw 0 0
/rw_var /var unionfs rw 0 0

Also can you confirm that there is space free on the devices and that enough memory is used on the virtual machine:

df -h
